Delphi is now on YouTube!

Hi everybody,

We hope you are keeping safe and well during these challenging days. This year certainly hasn’t gone as planned for any of us, but we are still able to bring you some philosophical adventures and exciting news for 2021. We have already released one major update this year, and we have plenty more still to come!

Delphi on YouTube

Children watching Delphi on YouTube

I’m delighted to tell you that Delphi is now on YouTube! You can now watch the complete story of Delphi the Philosopher as an interactive philosophy adventure for children. This is the first time we’ve made the full story freely available – 3 and a half hours of philosophical adventures, big questions and silly jokes. This will be a brilliant resource for developing children’s thinking skills, whether it be for home learning, with a group of children in school or as a fun and fascinating bedtime story. Start the adventure on our YouTube channel here.

For more details about the story, including how it can develop children’s learning and thinking skills and to see the stories in action in school, click through to our main page for Delphi the Philosopher here.

Delphi Philosophy Subscription Service

Very soon, we are going to be giving our store a major update – as we launch the new Delphi Philosophy subscription service! This will give you an annual subscription to access everything we have produced, and will produce, on a special ‘members only’ section of the website. On launch, this will include all of the following:

  • The full scheme of work for Delphi the Philosopher, including the full set of resources and lesson plans

  • Access to all of our Enquiry Packs

  • The full set of printable resources for Delphi’s Guide to Athens

  • A new ‘Teacher’s Toolkit’ section, containing extensive advice and information on teaching and assessing philosophy with children

  • First access to trial versions of new enquiries – including ‘Best Teacher Ever’: the brand-new three-part enquiry on the topic of how we learn

  • Access to a members’ area, where you can ask questions and share ideas with other members

  • And – first access to this:

Delphi the Dreamer – Coming Later in 2021!

Reading Delphi

The next scheme of work to follow Delphi the Philosopher is on its way! We have been working on this for well over a year now, and will contain ten brand new enquiries as Delphi faces her toughest philosophical challenges yet. This story and scheme of work will suit slightly older or more experienced children than our first scheme of work, and will be perfect to develop the thinking skills of children from 9-13. But who is this mysterious figure with Delphi? You’ll just have to wait until later in the year to find out!

This year has been so difficult for so many people, so we hope that we can at least give your little ones some philosophical fun this year! There’s never been a more important time to keep children thinking and laughing.

Best wishes to you all.
